[Sidefx-houdini-list] Animation Editor question

Question about the animation editor. I’m used to Maya, where if I delete all the keys for a channel, the channel retains the value at the current time. In Houdini, if I do that it returns the value to some weird value that I can’t figure out. Not only that, it seems to leave the parameter in an odd state. The bezier() expression is gone, but field is left as a light yellow highlight. 

To see what I mean, add some random keys to translate y on something. Then in the animation editor go to some time between two keys, select all the keys and delete. What would you expect to happen vs what actually happens?
