The Resample Sop gives you even length distribution so just deform 3D space before you resample :-)
Resample the curve evenly first with high point count. Then give it uniform UV's and copy the UV's to P to do an unwrap.
Now displace your points away from the unwrapped curve. Maybe with a VOP SOP and a ramp parameter.
Resample evenly again but now with the desired point count and move back to the original position stored earlier.
The more displaced the higher the density.

Just a quick question, is there a fast way to get a point distribution along a curve so it is like this :
->.. . . . . . . . . ..
I'm just rusty and have an idea on how to do this with point colors, but need a jump start.
Anyone with some jumper cables?
