Try Unity3d.com too, it just takes fbx files as input and is a lot easier to get into and more flexible in my opinion.

I just saw a piece of a game on my iPad called Epic Citadel using the UDK
and I'm very intrigued. I've never really been into games before, but this
looks so cool and it runs great on my iPad that I feel drawn into this other
world called "gaming".

Anyone have any tips on importing Houdini stuff in to UDK? I haven't even
started downloading it, so anything would be interesting.
