Assuming I understand what you're looking for... I would create an arbitrary attribute so that :

attribute = $PT
then blast your geo into two sets, one with the stuff you want reduced to points, and one with everything else
next you can take the stuff you want reduced to points and use the add sop to do this
merge your two chains of nodes back together
and finally use the sort sop to sort based on the attribute you created earlier.

The delete sop has a switch to Keep Points. This might be more what you're
after.
