[Sidefx-houdini-list] seg faults on render farm

Hi Sean,

I think a combo of polling for exit status and trapping the text
warnings is required unfortunately. It would be nice if "status" was
documented and could be relied upon (for example Unable to load
texture returned 50 or something) but for now I think you have to
