Just adjust the scale parameter on your Copy SOP and make sure "transform cumulative" is ticked on, (should be on by default)

Thanks, it worked after I restarted Houdini.

Now, I need to find out how to do this. Maybe you can help..

I used a Copy SOP to duplicate boxes over a curve. How can I make the copied
boxes tapered towards the top. Big box on the bottom and it grows smaller to
the top.

I don't figure that out. Have you done a reference copy? Create a new 
Transform Sop directly from the network pane.
