That helps.
It is odd to see that you have a resample SOP with even length
segments set - and yet the distance between the boxes is not regular.
!?! If the distance between the boxes was regular - and your base
bridge curve had consistent curvature - you could slightly twist your
box (twist sop) to have it inter-penetrate.
Otherwise you would have to hand model - or come up with some
elaborate dynamics based solution that would probably take you 20
times longer to set up than hand modelling.
