Our license server, hostname render, is a headless linux box with
internal IP 10.0.50.12. I need to reconfigure this box to be on a
different subnet, 10.0.70.*, with IP 10.0.70.12. Does making this
change require returning and redeeming our licences?

Thinking it would, I attempted to return a license as follows:

root at render:/usr/lib/sesi# grep 7bae92db licenses
LICENSE Generic Houdini-Master 8.0 1 31-dec-2020 +.+.*.* render 7bae92db \
UPGRADE 7bae92db 8.0 9.0 b01b3577 \
UPGRADE 7bae92db 9.0 9.1 4cfb7bed
iDMRbz at v1rBKwMRmw+m6nb3cOAjCK1PzMROFxbPNRYXSmB9681CzuK2

root at render:/usr/lib/sesi# sesictrl -d 7bae92db
Are you sure you want to return this license? yes
Please wait...
The license server 'render' does not allow you to return licenses from
this host.
The server process cannot modify the license file.

I can reach SESI from inside:

root at render:/usr/lib/sesi# ping license.sidefx.com
PING moncton.sidefx.com (38.99.137.162) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from www.sidefx.com (38.99.137.162): icmp_seq=1 ttl=53 time=60.9 ms

Any idea why I can't return our license?

Cheers,
Darran
