SOHO is an acronym.  Scripted Output of Houdini Objects.

It's comprised of three main parts:
    1)  Scripted output drivers (OTLs)

    2)  A simple API (24 functions, 7 of which are used to access
	geometry) implemented in a python module (sohoglue)

    3)  A bunch of Python scripts which use the sohoglue module to
	implement IFD/RIB/.mi generation...  Or interfaces to other
	renderers (i.e. look for Indigo4Houdini on the exchange).
