Hello

You can find a lot in "houdini rigid body DVD", from C. Zerouni.

A basic example :

dopfield("/obj/dopnet1", "rbdobject1", "Position", "Options", 0, "ry")
/obj/dopnet1 is the first branch
rbdobject1 the second one
Position the third branch, data name
Option the forth branch, recordType, in the Position branch
0 is the record num there is only one in position see below
ry is the properties name you ask.

record num make sense if you try to access impacts for example:
At the Impacts record type in the detail view there will be an impact record
option. There you will have a spreadsheat, each line is accessible with
recordNum then each column with fieldName
eg:
dopfield("/obj/dopnet1", "rbdobject1", "Impacts", "Impacts", 0, "positionx")

you can do some test in the textport using to display tour data.
echo `dopfield("/obj/dopnet1", "rbdobject1", "Impacts", "Impacts", 0,
"positionx")`

hope this help
Francois
