[Sidefx-houdini-list] texturing

What is the best way to get realistic shaders for human character modeling.
Is there a tutorial for that or do most people export shaders from other
packages using their UV editor(like Maya, 3d Max, Lightwave, etc.). I need
my character models to look as realistic as possible.
