I'm no expert in this, but if what you're trying to do is to get a
stable pile to start from, once it is stable, just write out the
geometry to a .bgeo and read that in as your RBD object. Since it is
stable, it should be able to be represented by a static geo. You don't
need to save all the dynamics, since they've all come to a rest, right?

Anybody know how I can use a sim file (one I wrote out fro the same dop
simulation) as a start frame for the sim.
What I am trying to do is run my sim till I have a nice stable pile of
objects. Then I want to use that stable pile as the starting point for
my "real" scene simulation. Which is another object breaking up through

enough to know what it is.
