Could you just snap the edge of one surface to the one below and then
attribtransfer the normals in that area so as to get a smooth render?

Subject: [Sidefx-houdini-list] Data cloud stitching?

Hi,
I'm looking at stitching complex, changing polys together on a
per-frame basis (animated), has anyone done stuff like this and can
offer some directions to take (or not take)?
It's scanned model data, specifically a human head, where there
are
multiple scans of the face being stitched onto a single body.
I'm quite confident I can make a system but time is tight so any
hints
or tips are greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Peter B
