Maybe you should consider a Switch Sop.
I believe for changing display flags the HDA needs to be unlocked.
And unlocked HDA sort of distroy the beauty on HDA..
If you are dealing with Objects instead of Sop's you can just use the
"display" parameter instead of the flag.
