What do we know about this surface?  Do we know if it's inherently X by
Y grid points, but with arbitrary connections?  Do we have a procedural
way to identify the edges of the intended NURBs patch? Are the corners
of the patch always concave?  Do we have any uv data that would indicate
the sense of the patch (I know there's no uv's below)?  Can the corner
points be identified manually, or does it have to be procedural?  Are
the first four points the corners?  Does the result have to be 100%
procedural, or can it be a simulation?  Is the diagonal of a quad always
the longest edge?  Can we identify the first edge?

Anyway, I made some assumptions.  The attached OTL does everything but
the last edge.  Each frame it does another edge, so you have to scroll
forwards as many frames as there are columns.
